Guten Abend, guten Morgen oder guten Nachmittag, je nachdem, in welcher Ecke der Welt Sie sich befinden. Mein Name ist Margin Alexander und ich bin der Komponist und Pianist, mit dem Sie in den letzten Wochen oder Monaten in Kontakt waren. Es reicht nicht aus, sich zu bedanken. Ich möchte die Gelegenheit nutzen und Ihnen meine tiefe Dankbarkeit dafür aussprechen, dass Sie mir die Möglichkeit gegeben haben, Ihnen die Kunst vorzustellen, die wirklich viel Musik in mir ausgelöst hat und die mir viel Ausdruck verliehen hat. Bevor ich diese Veranstaltung vorstelle, möchte ich Ihnen noch ein paar Details mitteilen. Heute Abend werde ich Künstler aus der ganzen Welt, von allen Kontinenten, präsentieren, und es ist wirklich etwas Einzigartiges für mich, denn als ich viel Zeit mit den Kunstwerken verbrachte, kam ich zu einer Schlussfolgerung, und ich glaube, es ist ein künstlerischer Zufall, dass die meisten Werke vielleicht unterschiedliche Stile haben, aber eine Sache, die mir wirklich auffiel, die gemeinsam war, war die Tatsache, dass das Element der Tiefgründigkeit in jedem einzelnen von ihnen vorhanden ist. Und ich glaube, dass dies es wert war, erwähnt zu werden.

Heike Kirsch ist eine abstrakte Malerin und eine digitale Fotografin, die in Hamburg, Deutschland, geboren und tätig ist. Ich bin auf einige Werke von Heike Kirsch gestoßen und möchte diese Besonderheit nicht unerwähnt lassen: Mir ist aufgefallen, dass Ihre Arbeiten eine Stimme haben. Das ist etwas, das mir wirklich aufgefallen ist. Und dieses Werk, das ich Ihnen vorstellen werde, Wave Three, das erschien mir zunächst als ein sehr, sehr faszinierendes Werk. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass es sich um ein apokalyptisches Werk handelt. Manchmal konnte ich nicht so recht erkennen, ob ich das von oben sehen sollte oder ob ich das umdrehen sollte. Oder sollte ich vielleicht wirklich geradeaus durchtauchen und dann einen Weg bauen, auf dem ich wirklich in Stücken und Abschnitten alles interpretieren kann, was ich sehe. Aber je mehr Zeit ich mit diesem Werk verbringe, desto mehr merke ich, dass es so etwas wie eine maximalistische Erzählung ist, die dieses Werk hat. Und ich glaube, dass ich viel länger brauchen werde, als ich dachte, um dieses Werk wirklich vollständig zu erforschen. Aber ich habe mich wirklich an dieses schöne Element geklammert, das mir so viel Vergnügen bereitet hat, so viel künstlerisches Vergnügen und wirklich den Eifer, das Werk zu entdecken und immer wieder anzuschauen, während ich einen Chor hörte. Ihr Kunstwerk ist so, dass es wirklich ein anderes Element erfordert, nicht unbedingt eine andere musikalische Klangfarbe, aber etwas, das dem Ganzen eine starke und tiefgründige musikalische Stimme verleiht. Und ich konnte nicht aufhören, die Chorkantate zu hören, wenn ich das so sagen darf.
Ich hoffe, dass ich in Zukunft Gelegenheit haben werde, dieses Werk wirklich aus der Nähe zu betrachten, denn ich glaube, dass es, wie einige andere, die ich gesehen habe, viele Dinge und viele geheimnisvolle Elemente in sich birgt. Ich habe wirklich angefangen, das Wesen hier zu bemerken, das Sie irgendwie versteckt haben, aber auf eine sehr aufschlussreiche Weise. Das hat mich wirklich beeindruckt und mich zu der Überlegung gebracht, dass ich vielleicht noch mehr solcher Elemente entdecken kann. Und ich habe eine ganz neue Welt entdeckt. Aber bevor ich die Musik spiele, möchte ich die wichtigsten Bestandteile nennen, die mich während der gesamten Erkundungszeit des Werks nicht losgelassen haben, nämlich die Mystik, die Schönheit und die Direktheit, mit der Sie die Kraft der Nuancen vermitteln, und dann absolut die apokalyptische oder die sehr majestätische, explosive Natur, die Sie hier meisterhaft aufgebaut und auf eine Weise vermittelt haben, die selbst für den kurzweiligen Betrachter so sichtbar ist. Und ich möchte Ihnen für Ihre Arbeit mit solch großen Dimensionen danken.

In this format, Margin Alexander will present world artists and their works while walking the vibrant streets of NYC at midnight with his digital tableaux in his hands. This event will be projected to a global audience as photographs and paintings get projected on the screen along with their authors while the composer narrates each piece and then enters a Victorian Salon from which each work will receive a musical dedication. The event will take place in New York broadcasted live in HD as a virtual production from the salon, then, to be broadcasted at a seguent event as a film projection for a selected audience inside of a NYC theater. I will get a video with the part of the film discussing my artwork by Margin Alexander and then shown playing his composition to my painting.
In the performance "Nocturne Tableaux" my artwork "Wave Three" will be presented by the pianist an he will play his music composed to the painting in New York City in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met)!

About my artwork "Wave Three"

Background and production process:
In the series "Floating Waves" the artist Heike Kirsch continues her painterly contemplation of the Baltic Sea, which for her is a place of longing, provides respite from everyday life and is the source of her artistic inspiration. In the artwork "Wave Three" the artist creates waves, which can exist in this form only very rarely on stormy days. In this way, she creates an extraordinary condition of the Baltic Sea, which she has not been able to depict with her digital photography until now. The atmospheric charge and strong dynamics indicate an inner state of the artist, who deals with the subject of Baltic Sea protection in numerous works of art. During the production process, the artist discovered analogies to the artwork "The Great Wave of Kanagawa" by Katsushika Hokusai and worked this out with the utmost respect for the original. She has been a great admirer of the Japanese artist and his woodblock prints for many years. In the production process, the artist first used the method of Acrylic Pouring and then deliberately moved the poured acrylic paint with a spatula and additionally changed it with a brush as well as washouts. In this way, she has cancelled out the randomness and arbitrariness of the pouring.

In an organic-seeming intermediate area, the work of Heike Kirsch plays in its genesis of form. The curved form entering the picture from the left associates a wave and is at the same time like a sediment layer, which is integrated into the color and structure of the material throughout the painting process. In the artwork "The Great Wave of Kanagawa", the movement and structure of the wave as a symbol of the sea is composed in a delicate and formal rigor in the woodcut. This finds a correspondence in the work "Wave Three" in colored fractals and weathering reminiscent progressions. The pictorial composition leads circularly into the state of the wave frozen in time and plays with our pictorial memory and knowledge of the famous woodcuts of Hokusai. Heike Kirsch thematizes her intense relationship to the Baltic Sea and her commitment to the protection of the Baltic Sea, but avoids cliché and posterity of maritime subjects.
